The research project “We’re in this together” by artist Markues deals with memories of the legendary cabaret Chez Nous in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
There, many drag stars and trans artists found both a stage and a place of encounter between 1958 and 2008. Besides images, you also find audio interviews in German with contemporary witnesses and their descendants on the website. Among them are: Jennifer Berlin, Alex Alvina Chamberland, Manel Dalgó, Nora Eckert, Joaquín La Habana, Kaey, Angela Parker, Patachou, Dieter Rita Scholl, Ryan Stecken, Karl-Heinz Steinle und Ramonita Vargas.
