30 YEARS OF POSITIVE LIFE
Double-Exhibition honoring the 30th anniversary of Berlin AIDS-Hilfe e.V.

Runtime: 3 April 2015 – 17 May 2015
Opening: on 2 April 2015, 7 pm

30 Years of HIV/AIDS activism in posters, photographs, audio, film and printed matter you can touch and flip through: Berlin AIDSHilfe e.V. and the Schwules Museum* open their archives for a double show honoring the 30th anniversary of Berlin AIDS-Hilfe e.V.

“We are very happy that this cooperation with the Schwules Museum* is making it possible to offer the public a look inside 30 years of Berlin HIV/AIDS history. The two parallel shows on at Ulrichs and the Schwules Museum* cover a timespan from the onset of the AIDS crisis in the 1980s to life with HIV as a chronic illness today”, says Maria Bormuth, together with Wolfgang Theis curator of the double show.

At Ulrichs – Café, Cuisine and Culture, 30 posters give visitors an overview of the diverse kinds of work Berlin AIDS-Hilfe does, including the different areas it works in, from 27 March 2015. Entry at Ulrichs is free.

At the Schwules Museum*, an extensive exhibition of various materials from the past 30 years opens on 2 April 2015. Visitors are invited to look, feel and browse through photographs, printed matter and activist memorabilia. Volunteers and self-helpers speak via audio stations, and film excerpts complete the audiovisual program. Entry to the show is included with the general museum ticket.

Concessions granted where applicable.
