Anti-Semitism and Intersectionality

13. February 2020 19:00

How to deal with anti-Semitism and intersectional discrimination in a creative and engaged way? How to create alliances in the time of increasing right-wing extremism?

In a panel discussion with the multidisciplinary social pedagogue Leah Carola Czollek, the writer & university professor Kenny Fries and the rabbinical student & queer activist Naomi Henkel-Gümbel, students of the MA Cultural Journalism at the UdK will discuss the relationship between anti-Semitism, ableism, queerphobia and sexism, as well as the possibility of forming alliances between different communities. Moderated by Serafin Dinges and Marie Hecht.

The event is pat of the series Anti-Semitism: Artistic Positions and Current Perspectives – a cooperation between the Berlin University of the Arts and Berliner Landeszentrale für politische Bildung.

Free entrance. The event will be held in German and English.
