An evening about Michel Foucault. Retrospective of biography and works for the 30th anniversary of the death

Michel Foucault is one of the fundamental intellectuals for the critical thinking. He was a philosopher, an historian. a sociologist and a openly homosexual. He died in 1984 because of aids, at that time a quite unknown disease. The 25th of June, the anniversary of his death, is the occasion to remember and appreciate him as a person and as progressive intellectual. We will celebrate him in the beautiful atmosphere of the garden of ://aboutblank (Markgrafendamm 24c 10245 Berlin)

This event is a cooperation between Helle Panke e. V. – Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Berlin and the Gay Museum*. With: Prof. Hania Siebenpfeiffer (Junior Professor for New German Literature and Theory of Literature at Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-University-Greifswald), Wolfgang Theis (Curator in Schwulen Museum*) and Dr. Frank Engster
