Artist Hoo Fan Chon (Penang, Malaysia) and curator Ferdiansyah Thajib discuss the working process behind “I Enjoy Being a Girl“, a photo-video essay currently exhibited in Young Birds from Strange Mountains at the Schwules Museum. This photo-video essay is part of the ongoing project Anita & Ava – Photography as a Self-Restorative Tool, which explores how two childhood friends navigated their gender identities through photography.

The event will be held in English. If you have the chance, we recommend watching the photo-video essay beforehand to make the conversation more engaging. Registration is not required. Participation is free; attendees only need to pay the Schwules Museum’s admission fee.
