How do queer rituals help us cope with loss and grief? As part of the “Strategies of Resilience – Insights into the Life of Eberhardt Brucks” exhibition, curator neo seefried invites you to a special dialogue with artist Sarnt Utamachote and Maria Scaroni from the Lecken collective. Together, they will discuss loss, queer rituals, and the bureaucracy of death. Maria, who led the grief ritual for their collective after the passing of a member, shares her experiences and highlights the importance of queer resilience in times of mourning. Sarnt’s film “I Don’t Want to Be Just a Memory” captures the collective grief within Berlin’s queer club culture, portraying a community that supports one another through hardship.
The Event will take place in English spoken language. Registration is not necessary. Participation is free, you only have to pay for admission to the SMU itself.
