The Schwules Museum is once again one of 75 venues hosting the much-anticipated Long Night of Museums. Our current exhibitions A Heart That Beats – Focus on Queer Ukrainian Art and Burning Down the Patriarchy – The Berlin Women and Lesbians’ Scene photographed by Petra Gall are open and can be visited alone or on a guided tour.
Our show program continues the ideas of the exhibitions: Seliquere delivers lesbian performance and drag with enough power to smash the patriarchy – and the transdisciplinary Ukrainian artist Nataliia Oliferovych brings together complex messages and humor.
We also offer a guided tour of our archive, where many rare treasures and hidden stories are stored.
The Lange Nacht starts at 6 pm, all information can be found here at langenachtdermuseen.berlin
The Perfromance Artists:
Seliquere is a performer, drag artist, host, and menace to the patriarchy, Seliquere is an avid advocate for lesbian representation in media outside of the Male Gaze*, and encourages people of sapphic experiences to challenge their preconceived notions of gender expression, sensuality, love, and happiness.
Nataliia Oliferovych is a transdisciplinary Ukrainian artist whose work reflects life in transition — shaped by war, migration, and identity. Her practice blends performance, video, installation, painting, and drawing to process personal and collective trauma through both tenderness and paradox.
