My arcHIV. A search for traces in a queen’s life

The community queen Gaby Tupper takes you on a personal tour through the exhibition „arcHIV. A Search for Traces“ the community queen offers you a view not only into the collecting and exhibiting history of the Schwules Museum since its founding in 1985 in the middle of a mediatic Aids panic. Other than that, you also get insights into Gaby’s life – from coming out as a gay man and queen, the loss of friends to AIDS and many openly positHIVe acquaintances.

Gaby Tupper has done HIV primary prevention and supported AIDS-benefiting events, works voluntarily for several queer projects, was elected MISS*ter CSD in Berlin in 2018, organizes among others musical city tours about queer history and is HIV positive since 10 years.

Registration is not necessary. The number of participants is currently limited to ten people. Please add yourself to the contact list for contact tracking at the list in the checkout. The participation is free, however the the entrance in the museum itself must be paid. The event happens in German. Participation is only possible with a valid 2-G certificate.
