Vernissage: Burning down the Patriarchy. The Berlin women and lesbians’ scene photographed by Petra Gall

3. July 2025 19:00

Our new exhibition “Burning down the Patriarchy. The Berlin women and lesbians’ scene photographed by Petra Gall” shows photographs by artist Petra Gall documenting the Berlin women and lesbian’s scene of the 1980s and 1990s. Her images tell stories of protest and everyday life, of tenderness and resistance.

Celebrate with us the opening of this show about political struggles and queer self-assertion! We’ll treat you to a champagne reception and free admission, while supplies last! An event in spoken German, with interpretation into German sign language.

In addition to Petra Gall’s work, the exhibition features artistic works by Lena Rosa Händle, Katharina Voß, and Janin Afken.
