Between everything and nothing.
Between power, beauty and extravaganza, the transits, difficulties and limitations of a geopolitical crossing.
The performance “What does the Baiana have?” widens the geographic lines between the cultures of race and gender experienced by the political art project Miss Immigration on the coast of Northeastern Brazil and Western Europe. An intimate statement for a global warning.
Beyond being a body-spectacle, Miss Immigration is an anti-racist living art project. Black, queer and born in Salvador-Bahia, living in Berlin. In Brazil they created two big important movements: “Bafão Queer” in 2010 and “coletividade.NÁMÍBIÀ” in 2017, both collectives composed by black and LGBTQIA+ visual artists, musical producers and djs, with the goal to include those artists and increase the local diversity. They have performed at the biggest parties and festivals in Brazil and around the world which includes Patagonia, Atacama Desert, Montevideo and Colombia.
The entrance fee for this event is 4€ and will be held in English spoken language. The event has a duration of 20 minutes. 3G proof is required.
