This group of French artists called Passage à l’acte exists since 1998. The common subject of the 15 members is the male nude. Their new show at the Schwules Museum consists of around one hundred new artworks of contemporary photography, painting, graphic work and sculpture.

Each artist has a different, personal and subjective approach to the male nude using different artistic expressions. The three focal points are: Close-Up, Tension – Speed and Contours – Icons. The work will be accompanied by texts from various authors. The display experiments with new ways of seeing so as to narrow the gap between spectator and (images of) the male body. The show will be presented in Paris in 2003.
