The performance “the holy butthole” by Pêdra Costa is a lecture ritual based on queer mythologies. It is the consecration of the asshole as a place of spiritual connection. It is an action where the asshole becomes sacred and is shared collectively.

Pêdra Costa is a ground breaking, formative Brazilian, Visual & Urban Anthropologist, Tarot Reader and Performer based in Berlin that utilizes intimacy to connect with collectivity, re-creating queer epistemologies into spiritualities, decoding violence and transforming failure into powers of resilient knowledge.

This performance is part of the exhibition Encantadas: Transcendental Brazilian Art, curated by A TRANSÄLIEN, Sanni Est and Ué Prazeres. Supported by the Hauptstadtkulturfonds.
