As in his widely acclaimed, but also disputed biography of Winckelmann ‘Der verworfene Stein’ (2005) Berlin-based art historian and German scholar Wolfgang von Wangenheim analyzes the interrelation between Winckelmanns work and his homosexuality. He will present and discuss ‘Unzüchtiges im Pindarschen Stil’, from literature Winckelmann knew and appreciated, among them suitable parts of scandal novel ‘Fanny Hill’.
