Karol Radziszewski – Queer Archives Institute

19. June 2019 19:00

Vernissage

We’re opening a treasure chest of memories and stories. Queer Archives Institute is an art project by Polish artist Karol Radziszewski that explores queer archives and cultures of remembrance with a focus on middle- and eastern Europe. The project, in cooperation with HAU Hebbel am Ufer, celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprisings and provides perspectives on queer liberation movement history(-ies) that were not always visible in the shadow of the western Pride-success stories.

Karol Radziszweski and curator Ricardo Carmona will present the exhibition, introducing his long-term project and giving insights to his process. Special guest: long-time activist Ryszard Kisiel, who contributed many pieces to the exhibition. They’re also looking forward to having a cold drink with you on our terrace. The exhibition runs until September 23rd, 2019.

Free entry for the vernissage!
